I saw a man walk into the middle of a dark street and just stand as cars drove by. He looked sad. I watched him for a while before he decided to return to the sidewalk.
I felt very lonely after that.

It’s been a month since I’ve been gone from my home. I came back to visit my dog. He’s lost weight, stopped eating, and gotten sick.

I love being awake at night time.
It’s finally quiet enough to think. Everything is much more surreal at night, too. It’s almost like reality goes to sleep and the creativity of my mind can finally breathe. Something I’ve known for a long time: without creating, I feel useless. Night time keeps me healthy.

I’m terrible at it. I don’t mean to be so horrifically distant, but I usually find myself turtled up in my house recovering from all the stress I’ve felt. And I don’t like to text or anything while I’m with my family. Not that I don’t want to hang out with you, I just suck so hard at remembering to text back. Here is the typical order of things:

Christmas break has been so good to me. I don’t want to resume reality. I enjoy my blankets and books and movies and sisters and family and food and games and stuffed animals and socks and sweatshirts. This is my favorite time of the year. I won’t let it end!
